The advent of Blu-ray technology has led to the introduction of high capacitystorage discs to meet the demand cause by the rapid growth of high definitiontelevision (HDTV).
Blu-ray discs get their name from blue laser technology. The shorter wavelengthof the laser is the reason it is blue in colour. The blue laser has a wavelengthof 405nm compared with the wavelength of 650nm for DVD which utilises red lasertechnology. The benefit of having a blue laser with a shorter wavelength meansit is possible to write smaller data pits and therefore vastly increase theamount of data on the disc.

Blu-ray discs offere 3 to 5 times the storage capacity of a standardrecordable DVD disc, enabling the recording, rewriting and playback of highdefinition video (HD).

Delivery Rates

We charge a flat rate of $6 NZD per shipment, not including heavy and bulky goods. 

Please note we have a $56-$118 rate for shipping heavy and bulky goods like chairs and desks which will be calculated at checkout. 

Most orders are shipped using New Zealand Post and these parcels are shipped with no-signature required. For our heavy and bulky goods, these are shipped via Mainfreight with signature required.
